This annual event typically features members of Apex public safety, Apex Town Council, and the Apex community sharing words and holding space for moments of reflection in remembrance of military personnel who lost their lives while serving.

American Legion Post 67 Memorial Day Ceremony

The American Legion will honor those who served and protected our freedom with a ceremony including a guest speaker, local dignitaries, color guard, and 21-gun salute. Open to the public. Bring a lawn chair. Free Sunday afternoon? Stop by at 3 p.m. to help set up.

Town of Cary Remembrance Ceremony

Veterans Freedom Park, Cary
2:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, May 26

This patriotic ceremony honors fallen veterans of all wars and conflicts. Hear remarks from guest speaker Paul Berry, a 30-year Marine Corps veteran and senior director of the Triangle Network of Veterans Bridge Home, plus members of the Cary Town Council. Plus patriotic music from the Cary Town Band and complimentary refreshments before and after the ceremony. Parking available at Cary Academy with a free ADA-accessible shuttle. Bring a lawn chair.
