Baileywick Park Celebration
Thursday, June 13
4-6 p.m.

Visit the new multi-sport pavilion at Baileywick Park for pickleball, a basketball skills class, drop-in play, and a 30-minute full-body cardio session featuring weighted exercise drumsticks.

Raleigh Retro Gamer Summer Expo
Saturday, June 15
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Raleigh’s biggest retro and modern gaming pop-up market returns for its third year. Cosplay for a chance to win prizes, visit the vendor marketplace, compete in a gaming tournament, and enjoy demos and free-play gaming stations. Kids will love the splashpad, Nintendo giveaways, and other activities. Plus with food trucks, three bands, and a DJ, you’ll never want to leave!

Summer Paddle Day at Lake Wheeler
Saturday, June 15
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Join the Raleigh Dragon Boat Club for a fun and FREE day on the water. Participants 18 and up can learn the basics of kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding, plus learn about dragon boating.

Makers Alley Family Cookout
Saturday, June 15
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Shop the vendors at Makers Alley, enjoy complimentary drinks at each store, and get food from Ty’s All Natural and ice cream from Bold Batch Creamery (and the first 40 customers get a free scoop!).

NC Hops Fest
Saturday, June 15
noon to 5 p.m.

Sample beers from some of the state’s best breweries, from Altered State to Wye Hill. Plus shop from local artisans, grab food truck fare, and enjoy live music. $45 per person.

 

Restaurant Specials: Sunday, June 16

Boozy Rooftop Brunch Launch
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

10th & Terrace will host a weekly Sunday brunch, kicking off on Father’s Day. Take Dad for a rooftop buffet complete with passed hors d’oeuvres and lots of brunch favorites. And of course a boozy brunch wouldn’t be complete without drink specials! $5 mimosas (or $15 mimosa carafes), a Bloody Mary bar, and more! $40 per person. Reservations required.

Burgers & Beer
Noon to 9 p.m.

Enjoy comfort food with a view at The Willard rooftop lounge in the AC Hotel Raleigh. $20 gets you a beer, burger, and fries. Choose from the Slowik Burger with two 4-ounce patties, seared onions, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and iykyk sauce; a Steak Burger with a 6-ounce patty, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, steak sauce, and French’s onions; or the Caprese Aubergine with grilled eggplant, pesto, fresh mozzarella, tomato, and tapenade.

Il Falò Father’s Day Dinner
5-10 p.m.

In addition to its regular menu, Il Falò at The Westin Raleigh-Durham Airport will be offering a special three-course Father’s Day dinner menu consisting of butter shrimp toast with chermoula on heirloom sourdough bread; a bone-in filet with heirloom tomato salad, rapini, and tallow bearnaise; and peach cobbler with salted thyme and honeycomb gelato. $62 per person. Reservations recommended.
