Long-Term Fosters Seeking Furever Homes

All animals deserve a loving home and couch to call their own. Unfortunately, sometimes they struggle to make it out of the shelter and foster system.

These two long-timers with the Wake County Animal Center want to steal your heart, Love Island style.

Capone

At 5 years old, Capone has been with WCAC since 2022 and is still looking for his forever home.

Capone is 100% your type on paper. He is a huge foodie, loves cuddles, and is always down to spend hours on the couch watching your favorite reality TV shows.

Biggest green flag? If you’ve got treats, Capone’s got loyalty.

Biggest ick? Vacuum cleaners. Instant turn-off. Immediate side-eye. Might even cause a dramatic villa exit.

Cricket

Cricket is a youthful 7 years old. He is the coolest guy in every room and he knows it. He is handsome, fun, and a total ladies’ man.

Biggest green flag: If you have a lap, he is going to sit in it — all 75 pounds of him.

Biggest ick: People who aren’t petting him. How dare you have hands and not be using them to pet him.

He wants to live a quiet, consistent life with you and bring all his main-character energy to your home.
