The benefits of an executive suite
by Danielle Jackson
Do you feel the need to escape from your home office, or perhaps have a start-up that you’re looking to expand but don’t have the capacity just yet? Consider utilizing a professional executive suite, which combines office space solutions and business support services in a shared space.
Wake Living talked with Wendy Seyboth, president of Byron Office Space Solutions LLC (B.O.S.S.), about the advantages of using this type of service.
Q: Why choose a professional executive suite?
A: In today’s competitive world, image is important. Business professionals and their clients never get a second chance to make a good first impression, so it’s vital for clients to know right away that a company or individual is serious and fully prepared to handle their needs. An executive suite helps professionals put forth their best image with appearance, staff and technology. This helps our clients reduce their monthly expenses by lessening the upfront costs for furniture, office space, technology and equipment while providing the ability for clients to expand as their needs require.
Q: What type of professional or business is best suited for this environment?
A: Executive suites are ideal for individuals starting a new business, corporations looking for a satellite office or businesses that are downsizing.
Q: What amenities does it offer?
A: Amenities include receptionist services and clerical assistance, personalized phone lines, high-speed Internet access, conference rooms, furnished and unfurnished private offices, a break room and kitchen facility, notary and concierge services, an onsite office supply store, postage and shipping services, and fax capabilities.
Q: What are its advantages over a traditional office?
A: With traditional space, you typically need to sign a long-term real estate lease, buy or lease equipment and office furniture, and hire someone to answer phones and receive guests. You also must take the time to locate, pay for and place all of the little things that typically are provided by an operator of an executive suite. Also, the startup and continual monthly costs for traditional office space generally are two to five times higher than those for a professional executive suite.
Q: What are its advantages over a home office?
A: There’s something about having your workspace and living room separated by a short drive that makes even a one- or two-person operation feel more entrepreneurial in spirit. You’ll also enjoy the possibility of leaving work at the office when it’s time to close up shop for the day, freeing you to spend quality time at home with your family.
